Reading is one of the most important language skills in addition to three other language skills. Reading is a process that can be developed using techniques that are suitable for the purpose of reading. The interest in reading of a child needs to be developed. Growing interest in reading of a child is better done at an early age, namely when the child is just learning to read the beginning, or even when the child is new to something. In this case, children's reading interest will increase if children are often faced with reading that suits their needs
Learning outcomes can be achieved from all aspects, including reading interest. One of the characteristics of a gifted child is to have a reading interest in a broad subject. To understand the contents of the material on Civics subjects, reading interest is needed from a child who is learning. If interest in reading a child is high, it can have implications for the high results of their learning
Based on the theory and problems above, researchers are interested in conducting research with the title " Relationship in Reading Interests with Student’s Learning Outcomes for Civics subjects in MI Ihyaul Islam Gunggungan Lor Pakuniran Probolinggo "
The formulation of the problem that later arose in this research were: (1) Is there a relationship between reading interest and student learning outcomes on Civics subjects in MI Ihyaul Islam Gunggungan Lor Pakuniran Probolinggo (2) How much is the relationship between reading interest and students' learning outcomes on Civics subjects in MI Ihyaul Islam Gunggungan Lor Pakuniran Probolinggo?
This research aims to find out: (1) the relationship between reading interest and the results of student learning on Civics subjects in MI Ihyaul Islam Gunggungan Lor Pakuniran Probolinggo (2) the relationship between reading interest and the results of on Civics subjects in MI Ihyaul Islam Gunggungan Lor Pakuniran Probolinggo.
This research was designed using a quantitative approach with a type of correlational research. This research examines the relationship of two variables, namely the independent variable and the non-independent variable. The researcher only looked for the influence between X variables, namely reading interest and Y variable, namely student learning outcomes on Civics subjects through and how much influence the variable X had on Y. Data collection used research instruments, quantitative or statistical data analysis, with the aim of testing hypotheses has been established.
Based on the results of the research using the procedures described in the previous chapters, conclusions can be drawn as follows: (1) There is a moderate relationship between reading interest and the learning outcomes of MI Ihyaul Islam Gunggungan Lor Pakuniran Probolinggo for Civics subjects. This can be seen from the correlation calculation using the product moment formula, it turns out that the correlation number between X and Y variables is 0.40 - 0.599 which means that the correlation between variable X and variable Y is there is a correlation or relationship that is Moderate. (2) The magnitude of the relationship between reading interest and the student learning outcomes of MI Ihyaul Islam Gunggungan Lor Pakuniran Probolinggo for Civics subjects is 32%. This is evidenced from the results of calculations using the formula of the coefficient of determination KD = r2 x 100%. KD = r2 x 100%. = (0.566) 2 x 100% = 0.32 x 100 = 32%. The other 68% is determined by other factors
